Kim Smith-Dugey lives by a simple philosophy: Knowledge is POWER. That's what makes Kim stand out as a Certified Mortgage Planner. She takes the time to educate her borrowers, so they can make the most informed decision possible regarding their financing needs.  Kim started in her mortgage career with a credit union in Northern California. After a few years, she returned back home to Louisiana to be closer to family, where she worked for a savings and loan in Lafayette. From 1993 until 2005, she owned and operated a successful mortgage company. During that time, she served on the Louisiana Mortgage Lenders Advisory Board to the Office of Thrift Supervision. She is also past governor of the Louisiana Mortgage Lenders Association.  For the last four years, Kim managed First Bank of Conroe’s mortgage department where she achieved a 300% turn around in referral business and set the department on solid ground. In September 2009 Kim relocated to Houston and married the love of her life, Trey, who has two wonderful children. She enjoys horseback riding, fishing, photography, cooking, gardening and traveling.  With over twenty two years of mortgage lending experience, Kim is highly qualified to advise the novice to the savviest of borrower. She is licensed by the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending with license number 85072.
